The manufacturing process begins with the shredding of Japanese paper into thin strings. Then,<br \/>\nusing a traditional Japanese technique, they are twisted with stretchable nylon. Together, the paper fiber and nylon create a yarn that Goldwin claims is five times stronger than the synthetic yarn found in traditional running socks, and wicks moisture well due to the unique texture of the paper enhanced fiber.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThere\u2019s plenty of innovation happening in performance apparel right now.
